This page collects two things: a first name and an email address, so that you can be told when Genassist opens. If you go on to lock the founding rate, Stripe stores a card for you as well. Everything below describes that and nothing else, because nothing else happens here.
Who holds it
Edajent Ltd, the company building Genassist, is the data controller. Edajent Ltd, 10 Montclair Ave, Moncton, New Brunswick E1E 1T8, Canada.
What is stored
Your first name, your email address, the time you submitted them, the exact consent wording you were shown, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash exists to stop the same connection submitting the form hundreds of times, and it cannot be turned back into your IP address. If you arrived through a partner's link, the partner's name is stored alongside so they get credit.
If you lock the founding rate
Your card number never reaches us and is never stored on our servers. It goes straight from your browser to Stripe, who hold it as the payment processor. What we store is the plan you picked, the terms you agreed to word for word, and two Stripe reference ids that point at your customer record and your card. Nothing is charged until Genassist opens, and you are emailed seven days before the first charge.
Why it is allowed
You asked to be told when the product opens. That is your consent, and you can take it back at any time. If you locked the founding rate, the card is held to perform the agreement you made on that page. Edajent is Canadian, so PIPEDA applies here. If you are in the UK or the EU, your rights under UK GDPR and the GDPR apply too, and they are honoured the same way.
What it is used for
The email telling you Genassist is open, and. If you locked the founding rate. The seven-day notice before the first charge and the subscription itself. It is not used for anything else, it is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers.
Where it lives
In a Supabase database, on Vercel's hosting. Payment details live with Stripe. All three are processors and hold it under a data processing agreement.
How long it is kept
Until the launch email is sent, or until you ask for it to be removed, whichever comes first. If Genassist has not opened by 30 June 2027, every card on file is deleted and no one is charged anything.
Getting it removed
Email motiondonor@edajent.com and it is deleted, card included, the same day. You do not have to give a reason, and there is no confirmation step designed to talk you out of it.
Cookies
Two, at most, and neither is about you. A short-lived signed cookie carries your name and email from step one to step two so you do not type them twice. If you arrived through a partner's link, a second cookie remembers which partner for ninety days, so they get credit if you sign up later. It holds their name, not yours. Both expire on their own. There are no advertising cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
Tracking
Page counts only, through Vercel's analytics, which sets no cookie and does not follow you to other sites. No advertising pixels, no session recording, no profile of you anywhere.
